Tips for Our Site

Here are a few tips to make your experience with this site easier and more enjoyable:

1. Become a Member of this Blogger site: (you must do this in order to post stories and photos)

• Lauren Bic will send you an email invitation to become a member of this site. (If you don't receive one in the next few days or if you know of someone who should be sent an invitation, please email Lauren Bic at: laurenbic@gmail.com)
• Click on the link embedded in the invitation email
• To accept the invitation, click the accept button and sign up for an account with Blogger (or, if you already have an account with Blogger, just sign into your account and accept the invitation)
• Don't forget the username and password you create because it will allow you to sign in for future posts.
• Don't forget to fill in information in your profile! When you become a Member of the site, your name will appear on the list of contributors. People who click on your name will be directed to your profile page. There, they can find your email address and anything else you want them to know about you. It serves as a family email directory until we can find something better, and can only be done in your Blogger account, so keep it updated! For an example, check out Lauren Bic's Profile.
  

2. Subscribe to this site! Wouldn't you want to be notified by email every time someone posts something new to the site? Sign up for the email feed! (All members should do this.)

• Enter your email address in the window on the sidebar
  
• Press "Subscribe me!"
• Follow the directions to confirm the email subscription
  

3. Get an account on Flickr: On this blog, you can upload photos, but if you want to upload a lot of photos (e.g., a photo album), sign up for Flickr and become a member of the Ha Xuan Family Group.

Lauren Bic will send you an email invitation to become a member of this Flickr group. (If you don't receive one in the next few days or if you know of someone who should be sent an invitation, please email Lauren Bic)

4. AudioBlogs: Is the web getting a little too impersonal for you? Would you rather leave a message for the people you love so they can hear your voice? Post a voice message straight to the blog from your telephone! You can do this with AudioBlogger. It's an easy-to-use, cool (and FREE) service!

5. Got a Great Family Photo? Every so often, we will be rotating the family photo that appears at the top of the website. Email your favorite Ha Xuan Family photo to info@haxuanfamily.com!

6. Blogger Help: For help with posting stories or uploading photos, go to Blogger help: http://help.blogger.com/
